Individual Therapy
Morgan Center for Counseling and Wellbeing offers one on one personalized therapy to help you deal with challenges you are facing. Often, clients wonder what to expect when they are coming to counseling. In therapy, we work together to explore the areas where you may be feeling overwhelmed or stuck in life. We explore past experiences as well as issues that are arising currently. We use a straightforward, non-judgmental, honest, and welcoming approach. Our goal is to make you feel comfortable while working together but still want you to feel challenged.
In most cases, we will meet weekly so that we can track progress for the areas of your life that are causing unhappiness or negative feelings. Occasionally, will give you tasks (reading about an issue that was brought up in our counseling session, practicing a particular skill for coping, writing, and thinking) to do outside of our therapy sessions. Therapy can occur as frequently or infrequently as you prefer, but we will recommend a frequency we think makes the most sense based on your needs.
Our counseling sessions are sometimes hard work but often times there will joy and laughter and our clients sometimes report comfort with the ease of the discussion. We will touch on worries or anxieties that you might be experiencing from trauma, difficulty communicating, dissatisfactions in your life, feeling of depression, relationship issues, and more. Therapy is a way to make changes and Morgan Center will help guide you to a life that is more fulfilling.
Senior Counseling and Mental Health
As we age, life can present a host of challenges that impact our mental health and overall well-being. Many older adults face major life transitions, such as retirement, relocation, or the loss of loved ones. Physical health issues and the onset of chronic conditions can further exacerbate feelings of anxiety, depression, or loneliness. For some, navigating changes in family dynamics or caregiving responsibilities may feel overwhelming. Senior counseling offers a supportive space to address these challenges and find meaningful ways to improve mental health. There are issues that are unique to being a senior, but it can be even more difficult when you have to deal with trauma, anxiety, or depression.
