I earned my Masters Degree in Social Work (MSW) from Florida Atlantic University, graduating with honors.”

After completing an internship at South County Mental Health Center in Delray Beach, I worked as a social worker on the Dual Diagnosis Crisis Stabilization Unit and later on the Mobile Crisis Team, earning licensure as a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) in Florida. In addition to being a Boca Raton therapist, I provide educational supervision for BSW and MSW students in their clinical internships.

While I offer counseling services covering a wide variety of issues from anxiety and depression to grief and trauma, I have developed a special expertise in trauma treatment. I have found that traumatic events, in one form or another, often lead to other issues and/or contribute to anxiety and depression. After completing a certification in clinical trauma treatment, I earned certification from the EMDR International Association in EMDR treatment, a therapy that has yielded excellent results for clients affected by trauma. Also, I provide these services as a contract therapist to a substance abuse treatment center in Boca Raton. As an Advanced Clinical Heart-Centered Hypnotherapist^TM, I trained at the world-famous Wellness Institute in Issaquah, Washington. There, I specialized in Heart-Centered Hypnotherapy. I am also a member of the Florida Society of Clinical Hypnosis (FSCH). Clinical hypnotherapy can be highly effective in achieving goals in counseling.
