Jody L. Morgan, LCSW, CCTP
Boca Raton therapist Jody Morgan knows that finding a therapist can be time consuming, frustrating, and stressful. Effective therapy is about forming a relationship. This is important regardless of the technique or approach a therapist may use. As you move forward in therapy, the therapeutic relationship becomes a dynamic “workspace” in which you can discuss, understand and resolve issues affecting you. This works if you have a therapist with whom you can connect and establish trust. I provide a safe, confidential and compassionate environment in which you will feel respected. There is no judgment here.
I bring a wealth of experience to my clinical social work practice. My passion for helping others led me to leave a rewarding career in a corporate leadership role to return to graduate school and transition to psychotherapist. I earned my Masters Degree in Social Work (MSW) from Florida Atlantic University, graduating with honors

After completing an internship at South County Mental Health Center in Delray Beach, I worked as a social worker on the Dual Diagnosis Crisis Stabilization Unit and later on the Mobile Crisis Team, earning licensure as a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) in Florida. In addition to being a Boca Raton therapist, I provide educational supervision for BSW and MSW students in their clinical internships.
While I offer counseling services covering a wide variety of issues from anxiety and depression to grief and trauma, I have developed a special expertise in trauma treatment. I have found that traumatic events, in one form or another, often lead to other issues and/or contribute to anxiety and depression. After completing a certification in clinical trauma treatment, I embarked upon earning certification in EMDR, a mode of treatment that is often used with clients suffering from trauma. Also, I provide these services as a contract therapist to a substance abuse treatment center in Boca Raton. I’m also trained in clinical hypnotherapy which can be highly effective in achieving goals in counseling.
I am passionate about helping others which is why I enjoy work as a licensed clinical social worker and Certified Clinical Trauma Professional. I feel honored to have the opportunity to get to know you and help you reconnect with your core strengths and find solutions to help you live a happier, more peaceful life. I am relaxed, casual and most importantly, I practice without judgment. I accept who you are and where you are in your journey which significantly contributes to our ability to have a healing dialogue, explore concerns and find answers. Compassionate service is a cornerstone of my practice. I look forward to meeting you.

As I was growing up in south Louisiana, I was fascinated with foreign languages. During summer jobs, I learned to speak Spanish and later Portuguese. In college, I majored in Spanish and subsequently traveled to Brazil to teach English. I am fluent in both Spanish and Portuguese and am happy to conduct your session in the language of your choice
