Therapy That Comes to You
Life is busy. Traffic in South Florida is unpredictable. Carving out time to drive to a therapist’s office, sit in a waiting room, and drive back can be the difference between getting help and putting it off again.
Telehealth therapy at Morgan Center removes that barrier. From your home, your car between meetings, or anywhere you can find a quiet moment, you can have a real, confidential session with a licensed clinician who knows your history and your goals.
How Telehealth Therapy Works at Morgan Center
1. Schedule
Book online through our secure client portal or call (561) 717-2900. New clients receive a brief intake form to complete before the first session.
2. Connect

3. Begin
Your session runs the same way an in-person session would, with the same clinician, the same continuity, and the same privacy protections required of any licensed Florida therapist.
What Telehealth Therapy Can Help With
Research has shown that for many concerns, online therapy is as effective as in-person therapy. Jody Morgan provides telehealth sessions for clients working through:
- Anxiety and panic
- Depression and low mood
- Trauma and PTSD
- Grief and loss
- Life transitions
- Relationship and family dynamics
- Workplace and career stress
- Self-esteem and identity concerns
Some situations are better suited to in-person care, including active substance abuse requiring detox, severe eating disorders, or active suicidality. If telehealth isn’t the right fit, we’ll talk about it during your initial consultation and help you find appropriate care.

Frequently Asked Questions About Telehealth Therapy
Is telehealth therapy as effective as in-person therapy?
For most concerns, yes. A substantial body of research over the past decade has found that telehealth therapy produces outcomes comparable to in-person therapy for anxiety, depression, PTSD, and many other common presenting issues. The key factors are the quality of the therapeutic relationship and the appropriateness of the treatment approach, both of which translate well to a video format.
Are telehealth sessions secure and private?
Yes. Morgan Center conducts all telehealth sessions through SimplePractice, an encrypted video platform built specifically for healthcare providers. Sessions are not recorded, and the same confidentiality standards that apply to in-person therapy with a licensed Florida clinician apply to your telehealth sessions.
Do I need special software or equipment?
No software downloads are required. You’ll need a device with a camera and microphone — a smartphone, tablet, or computer all work — plus a reliable internet connection. At your appointment time, you click a secure link in the email we send you, and the session opens in your browser.
Where do I need to be physically located for a telehealth session?
Florida law requires that you be physically located in Florida at the time of the session. This is a common point of confusion: telehealth crosses geographic distance within the state, but a Florida-licensed therapist cannot provide care to a client who is sitting in another state at the time of the session, even temporarily. If you travel out of state, we’ll work with you to schedule sessions accordingly.
What does telehealth therapy cost? Do you accept insurance?
Morgan Center is a self-pay practice and does not bill insurance. This allows us to focus on care rather than insurance company requirements and helps protect your privacy regarding mental health records. For current session rates, please contact our office or call (561) 717-2900.
Can I do couples or family therapy through telehealth?
Yes, with both participants joining from the same location or from separate locations within Florida. We’ll discuss what works best for your situation during the initial consultation.
What if my internet cuts out during a session?
It happens. If we lose connection during a session, we’ll switch to a phone call to finish the conversation, and you won’t be charged extra. For ongoing connection issues, we’ll problem-solve together. Sometimes that means switching devices, sometimes a Wi-Fi hotspot helps, and occasionally a phone-only session works better.
How do I know if telehealth is right for me?
Most people find that within the first session or two, they know whether the format works for them. If you’re someone who values flexibility, has trouble fitting in-person appointments around work or family demands, or simply prefers the privacy of receiving care at home, telehealth tends to be a good match. If during your initial consultation we determine that in-person care would serve you better, we’ll talk about referrals.
Ready to Get Started?
If you’ve been thinking about therapy but haven’t found a way to make it fit, telehealth may be exactly what makes it possible. Schedule online or call us today.
